The Government of India has set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals (FTAs) and aims to double foreign exchange earnings. The launch of several branding and marketing initiatives such as 'Incredible India!' and 'Atithi Devo Bhava' has provided focused impetus to growth. Under the 'Swadesh Darshan Scheme' 13 thematic circuits have been selected for development of tourism infrastructure.
